Our approach
We use access controls, customer-specific data permissions, secure payment handling, and operational safeguards appropriate to the service. No online system can promise absolute security.
Account access
Account information is separated through customer-specific permissions. Access to operational systems is limited according to role and service need, while payment information is handled by the payment provider.
Data minimization
We ask customers not to provide passwords, recovery codes, full payment-card details, or private file contents. Limiting unnecessary sensitive information reduces risk during support and complaint handling.
Your responsibilities
Use a unique password, protect recovery methods, keep devices updated, enable security features offered by your storage provider, and never share passwords or one-time codes with support.
Backup resilience
Keep independent copies of critical files where practical, monitor backup status, maintain enough storage, and perform periodic test restores. A backup that has not been verified may not be usable when needed.
Third-party security
Your selected cloud-storage, email, internet, device, and payment providers control their own security practices. Review their settings and notices, enable stronger authentication where available, and keep recovery information current.
Report concerns
Report suspected account compromise or a security concern through Support or contact@nuvexabackup.com. Include relevant dates and observations, but do not send secrets or sensitive file contents.
What happens after a report
We review credible reports, may request safe verification details, and take reasonable steps within our systems. We do not promise a fixed response or resolution time, and we may limit information where disclosure could create risk or violate law.
Security limitations
No safeguard eliminates all risk. Device loss, malware, phishing, reused passwords, provider outages, and incorrect configuration can affect access or backups even when reasonable precautions are used.
Responsible reporting
Do not access, alter, download, or disclose another person’s information while investigating a concern. Send a concise description and reproduction details to contact@nuvexabackup.com without attaching harmful files.
